Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Fête Studios handles personal information when you visit our website, create an event, join an event, upload photos or videos, use a live photo wall, view a gallery or contact us.

Last updated: 21 May 2026

1. Who This Policy Covers

This Privacy Policy applies to the Fête Studios website, app, event pages, galleries, live photo wall tools, payment flows and related services available at https://fete.studio and any Fête Studios subdomains.

It applies to event organisers, guests, people shown in uploaded content, website visitors and anyone who contacts Fête Studios.

2. Who We Are

Fête Studios provides digital event tools that help organisers collect guest photos and videos, curate live displays, manage event galleries and preserve event memories.

For privacy questions or requests, contact us at hello@fete.studio.

3. Information We Collect

We may collect information you give us directly, including your name, email address, event details, account details, guest names, social handles, support messages and payment related information.

We may collect photos, videos, captions, upload times and other content added to an event gallery or live photo wall. This content may include images or sounds of guests and other people at the event.

We may also collect technical information such as device type, browser type, IP address, approximate location, page views, QR scan activity, upload activity, error logs and information about how the service is used.

4. How We Use Information

We use personal information to provide the service, create and manage events, generate QR codes, accept uploads, show approved content on live photo walls, release galleries, process payments, send service messages and respond to support requests.

We also use information to keep Fête Studios secure, prevent misuse, troubleshoot technical issues, improve the product, understand which features are useful and meet legal or regulatory obligations.

5. Our Lawful Bases

Where UK data protection law applies, we rely on different lawful bases depending on the situation.

We may process information because it is necessary to perform a contract with you, for example when an organiser creates a paid event or uses event management tools. We may rely on legitimate interests to run, secure, improve and promote Fête Studios, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights. We may rely on consent where the law requires it, such as for certain marketing or optional cookies. We may also process information where needed to comply with legal obligations.

6. Event Organisers and Guests

Event organisers decide how their event is set up, who receives the QR code or event link, what content appears live, when a gallery unlocks and who can access or download event content.

If you are a guest, the organiser of the event may see your name, social handle, uploaded content and related event activity. They may also download or share content from the event gallery depending on their settings and permissions.

If you are an organiser, you are responsible for giving guests clear information about how Fête Studios is being used at your event, especially if content may appear on screens, be shared after the event or include people who did not personally upload it.

7. Photos, Videos and People in Content

Photos and videos can include personal information about the people shown or heard in them. Please only upload content that you have the right to share and that is appropriate for the event.

If you want us to review, remove or restrict access to specific content, contact us with enough detail to identify the event and the content. We may need to involve the event organiser where they control the gallery or where they downloaded the content.

8. Payments

If you pay for an event, payment information may be handled by a payment provider. Fête Studios does not need to store full card numbers to provide the service.

We may store payment status, order details, invoices, tier information, billing contact details and transaction references so we can provide access, manage accounts, handle support and keep financial records.

9. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We may use cookies, local storage and similar technologies to keep the website working, remember settings, protect accounts, understand site performance and improve the service.

Some cookies may be strictly necessary for the service. Where required, we will ask for consent before using optional analytics, advertising or similar tracking technologies.

10. Marketing

We may send service messages about your account, event, payment, gallery or support request. These are not marketing messages.

If we send marketing emails, we will do so where we have a lawful basis and will provide a way to opt out. You can also contact us at hello@fete.studio.

11. Who We Share Information With

We may share information with service providers who help us host the website, store uploads, process payments, send emails, provide analytics, monitor errors, secure the platform and support the product.

We may share event content with organisers and authorised event users according to event settings. We may also share information if required by law, to protect rights or safety, to prevent misuse, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition or restructuring.

12. International Transfers

Some service providers may process information outside the UK or the country where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as approved contractual protections or equivalent legal mechanisms.

13. How Long We Keep Information

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose it was collected, including providing event access, maintaining galleries, handling downloads, supporting organisers, resolving disputes, improving the service and meeting legal or accounting requirements.

Event galleries and uploads may be kept for the period chosen by the organiser or for the period needed to provide the service. We may delete, archive or anonymise information when it is no longer needed.

14. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information. No online service can be completely secure, so organisers and guests should also take care with event links, admin access, downloaded files and shared galleries.

15. Children and Young People

Fête Studios is designed for event organisers and guests, not for children to use independently. If an event involves children or young people, the organiser is responsible for making sure appropriate permissions, notices and safeguards are in place.

If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate permission, contact us and we will review the situation.

16. Your Rights

Depending on where you live and how we use your information, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to or receive a copy of your personal information. You may also have the right to withdraw consent where we rely on consent.

To make a request, contact hello@fete.studio. We may need to verify your identity and understand whether Fête Studios or the event organiser controls the information you are asking about.

17. Complaints

We would like the chance to resolve privacy concerns directly. You can contact us at hello@fete.studio.

If you are in the UK, you can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at https://ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/.

18. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Fête Studios develops, our services change or legal requirements change. The latest version will be posted on this page with the updated date.

19. Contact

If you have questions, requests or concerns about this Privacy Policy, contact Fête Studios at hello@fete.studio.
